L2TP for Windows 10

  1. Find on your taskbar "Action Center" icon and click/touch it, then at the bottom click on "VPN"
  2. In settings window press "Add a VPN connection"
  3. Now you have to set up your PPTP VPN connection. Here are the settings
  4. Now the most important thing to do is to set up Key for Authentication. Otherwise your traffic won't be encrypted. Right-click on the monitor or Wi-Fi icon in the bottom right-hand corner. Then click on "Open Network and Sharing Center"
  5. Then click on "Change adapter settings"
  6. Find your VPN L2TP connection and right-click, then click "Properties".
  7. Under Security Tab for Type of VPN select "Allow these protocols", then tick "Microsoft CHAP version 2 (MS-CHAP v2)", then press "Advanced settings"
  8. In Advanced Properties type the key: VPN. Then press "OK".
  9. Now every time when you'll need to connect just press the network button on your taskbar and select VPN connection
  10. In settings window just press "Connect"

If you have successfully connected but still have a problem with access to the resource, you can also try to change your DNS addresses.

  • Preferred address — 8.8.8.8
  • Alternate address — 8.8.4.4
